Grassroots Coverage of the PA Presidential Primary by Mobile Phone
VoxPop is a collaboration by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, post-gazetteNOW and the new media company deepLocal to enlist large numbers of citizens in providing news, observations and opinions about the important Pennsylvania presidential primary on April 22.

We're soliciting and will select volunteers from across the Keystone State to file frequent text and audio dispatches via mobile phones using technology developed by deepLocal. Visitors to VoxPop will be able to select, read and listen to these citizen reports.

VoxPop will complement comprehensive primary coverage by the staff of the Post-Gazette. It's a bold step in providing a forum for our readers and Web visitors, embracing new and exciting technologies and incorporating citizen media in our core mission as the leading news organization in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
